Rodostagma Agrou, often referred to as Agros Rosewater, is the thirteenth Cypriot product to be registered as a Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) in the European Union, formally bringing it to the status of distinguished products. This is Cyprus's second PGI registration in 2024, the first is Tertziellouthkia.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment made the declaration and underlined that it is still committed to registering more traditional products for geographical protection inside the EU.

In August 2022, the European Commission received the application for Agros Rosewater, and on October 4, 2024, the registration was posted on the EU website, according to a news release from the ministry. In addition to confirming the product's unique identity connected to its place of origin, this acknowledgement benefits the neighborhood by increasing job opportunities and the local economy.

Agros Rosewater is made from the whole flowers of the aromatic Rosa damascena species. It is a popular product in the area because of its strong, irresistible scent, which is similar of freshly picked roses. Through EU geographical indicators, the Ministry of Agriculture intends to keep up its efforts to protect and promote more traditional Cypriot products.
