The little village of Dymes is located in Limassol's mountainous region, is part of Pitsilia and is located 960 meters above sea level. It is situated 59 kilometers from Nicosia and 40 kilometers from Limassol, between the villages of Kyperounta, Pelendri, and Agros. Dyme’s name is thought to have derived from the ancient city of Achaia Dymi.
The village’s hilly streets are interesting with traditional buildings of folk design with vine-arbours, as well as constrained yards and high fences. The tiled and tin roofs of the buildings in the settlement, are what create its charming character.
Dymes also draws tourists who come to experience the enchanting village for themselves. The community park of the village was established beneath the church of Timios Prodromos in a lovely setting with various trees.
