The picturesque village of Kornos is located in the province of Larnaca and is approximately 27 kilometers west of the city of Larnaca and 25 kilometers southwest of Nicosia. The community of Kornos is located in the center of the three big cities, Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca. The distances can be easily travelled by car and don’t exceed 25 minutes of driving. The morphology of the village's topography has been dispersed by the parts of the rivers Tremithos, Pentaschoinos, Pouzis, and Xeropotamos that pass through the area.
The renown of Kornos’ pottery art has spread beyond the boundaries of Cyprus and is acknowledged on a global scale. Kornos won honors and first awards in the Annual Panhellenic Pottery Exhibition Amarousiou. What is interesting, is the excursion area in Kornos, with a capacity of 150 people. It was established about 1.5 kilometers south of the village. This picnic spot includes all the amenities required for entertainment and leisure, and is surrounded by beautiful pine and cypress trees, eucalyptus, acacia, aspen trees and wild olives.
With its tiled roofs, brick walls sitting on stone foundations, arches, wooden doors and windows, the village has mostly preserved its original folk architecture.
