Kellaki is a stunning village located about 28 kilometers from Limassol city, and belongs to the district of Limassol. The village is known for its lush forest and nearby natural attractions such as the Kellaki picnic site.
Kellaki has reportedly been around since Cyprus was ruled by the Franks. In fact, this is referred to as Chiegliachia by a French adventurer. There are numerous variations of the inspiration of the village’s name. According to the most popular version, the settlement got its name from a little “Keli” (cell) that is said to had been constructed by a monk.
The Holy Monastery of Zoodochos is located inside the boundaries of the village of Kellaki among trees with panoramic views, which accommodates eleven nuns.
