A series of new initiatives will help create more opportunities for people with disabilities by improving access to education, training and employment. The measures aim to support young people as they transition into adult life, making it easier for them to continue learning, develop new skills and find meaningful work.

The plans include personalised career pathways for students leaving special education, new employment programmes and increased support for organisations that hire people with disabilities. New post-secondary education opportunities will also be available for adults over the age of 22, with vocational training, workplace support and recognised qualifications to help participants build confidence and prepare for future careers.

Additional support includes the creation of new day centres offering educational activities, transport assistance for participants and the opening of new autism centres. Together, these initiatives aim to promote greater inclusion, independence and equal opportunities, helping more people with disabilities participate fully in education, employment and community life.
