Well, autumn is here now for good. Everything seems calmer as we slowly transition from summer into the winter months, with milder weather finally arriving to give us a break from the heat. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun! Here are all the events and happenings in Cyprus this October:

1 October: Giannis Charoulis Performance (Medieval Castle of Kato Paphos)

The Pafos Music School will host the popular Greek artist Giannis Charoulis at the Medieval Castle of Kato Paphos. Charoulis will present a nice concert together with students, which is titled "Malamatenia Logia".

2 October: Pentagram Live in Cyprus (Downtown Live, Nicosia)

Pentagram, the iconic heavy metal band, will perform live in Cyprus for the first time. Led by frontman Bobby Liebling, this is a night that metalheads won't want to miss. The concert will also feature opening performances by Dark Poetry and Friends of Hell.

2-9 October: CR'24 Festival (Ayia Triada, Protaras)

The festival's main stage on October 4th will feature Foo Forgers, Metallica Reloaded, and Live/Wire. This is an event for rock and metal fans, which promises energetic performances by all-time favourite bands.

3 October: Inspire 2024 (Makariou Avenue, Nicosia)

This entrepreneurial festival will take over Makariou Avenue, and will celebrate the most innovative business minds in Cyprus. Expect workshops, talks, and exhibitions aimed at encouraging new ideas and entrepreneurial spirit.

4 October: 5th Festival of Cypriot Tradition (Agia Paraskevi Park, Nissou)

This will be a celebration of the rich history of Cyprus at the 5th Festival of Cypriot Tradition. It's a family-friendly event with plenty to see and do for all ages. In addition to live entertainment, visitors may participate in traditional arts and experience the local cuisine.

5 October: NASA Space Apps Challenge 2024 (CSEO - Cyprus Space Research Centre, Nicosia)

The NASA International Space Apps Challenge is back! Join coders, scientists, and innovators to create solutions for challenges faced in space exploration. This two-day hackathon will bring together some of the brightest minds to solve real-world problems using open NASA data.

5-6 October: Nicosia Book Fest (Akropolis Park, Nicosia)

The Nicosia Book Festival returns for 2024, offering book presentations, author signings, and activities for all ages.

5-6 October: Cyprus Comic Con 2024 (Cyprus State Fair, Nicosia)

Cyprus Comic Con brings fans of comics, gaming, cosplay, and pop culture together for an epic weekend. Expect vendors, panels, and special guests from the world of comics and entertainment. Tickets are available for single days or the full weekend.

5-7 October: Oktoberfest Maroni (Retreat & Club Edition Finesse, Maroni)

Celebrate Oktoberfest with German beers, authentic food, and live entertainment in Maroni. The festival is part of the UPSWING YOUR LIFE event and will be a super cool event for lovers of Bavarian culture.

8 October: Nikos Apergis Performance (Pavilion Hall, Nicosia)

Greek singer Nikos Apergis will take perform at Pavilion Hall in Nicosia, signing favourite hits. He will perform together with DJ Miro Y and Foxylee who will also provide entertainment.

9 October: PhOETRY II 2024 - Poetry Moves International Festival (MS Viewpoint LTD, Nicosia)

PhOETRY II brings together poetry and photography in this international festival. Featuring awarded photos and selected works. This exhibition is a must-see for anyone who appreciates the blend of visual and literary arts.

10-13 October: Book Festival (Larnaca, Nicosia, Limassol, Paphos)

From October 10 to 13, you can enjoy a traveling book festival across multiple cities in Cyprus. There will be books of all genres, including children's literature, novels, poetry, and fantasy.

12 October: 4th Street Food and Art Festival (Palechori Village)

The annual Street Food and Art Festival in Palechori will combine delicious food with local art in an astonishing setting. There will be delicious street food to try, live performances, interactive art displays and more.

12 October: Meraki Fair 2024 (Zouhouri Square, Larnaca)

The Meraki Fair will be held in Larnaca’s Zouhouri Square and will feature handmade goods, food and drinks, live performances, and fun activities for kids too.

12 October: TEDxEleftheriaSquare 2024 (Eleftheria Square, Nicosia)

This year’s TEDxEleftheriaSquare brings together thought leaders and inspiring speakers from diverse fields, including AI, sustainability, street art, and more. Join the discussion in the heart of Nicosia and get inspired by fresh ideas and perspectives.

17 October: The Art of Recharging - A Retreat for the Senses (Timiou Stavrou, Lefkara)

Take a step back from your busy life with "The Art of Recharging”, a retreat designed to help you reconnect with your body and mind. It is hosted by GREEN HOUSE Retreats and combines mindfulness, nature and art to offer a rejuvenating escape.

18 October: John Bishop Live (Strovolos Municipal Theatre, Nicosia)

Comedy superstar John Bishop is back with his "Back At It" tour, and will bring his trademark humour to Cyprus. After spending time in TV and podcasting, Bishop is returning to the stage to do what he loves most. making people laugh.

18-20 October: Oktoberfest Extravaganza (City of Dreams Mediterranean, Limassol)

Enjoy authentic German beer, food, and music at the Oktoberfest Extravaganza in Limassol. This festival features live performances from a Bavarian band and offers exclusive beer mugs for attendees.

19-20 October: Beauty Expo Cy (Kratiki Ekthesi, Nicosia)

Beauty professionals are invited to this new exhibition focusing on beauty, health, and wellness. You can participate in live workshops and seminars and it’s an opportunity for anyone in the industry to network and learn about the latest trends and products.

20 October: 3rd Grape Festival & Productions (Arminou Village)

Celebrate the grape harvest in Arminou Village with traditional activities like grape pressing, zivania distillation, and baking. Visitors can sample local treats like soutzouko and pallouze, while enjoying music and dance performances.

26 October: 03 OlympusMan Train Run (Troodos Mountains)

For trail runners, the OlympusMan Train Run offers an exciting challenge on the trails of Mount Olympus. With different race categories, runners of all levels can experience the beauty of the Troodos Mountains.

26-28 October: Cyprus Rock Climbing Festival (CRCF) 2024 (Gerakopetra climbing site, Ineia Paphos)

The Cyprus Rock Climbing Festival is back, bringing together climbers and people who love the outdoors for a weekend of adventure. Held at the Gerakopetra climbing site, the festival promotes sustainable climbing and supports local development.

28 October-1 November: Winter SUP and Activity Week (Archiepiskopou Makariou III 14, Ayia Napa)
