Residents of the Dromolaxia-Meneou area can look forward to improved healthcare services, as plans move ahead to transform an existing rehabilitation and care centre in Tersefanou into a modern hospital. The project, valued at around €1 million, will create a 95-bed medical facility offering a wider range of inpatient and rehabilitation services.

The upgrade includes renovations to the existing buildings, improved patient facilities and the construction of a connecting bridge between the two main buildings. Once completed, the hospital will provide services across several medical specialties, including post-surgical rehabilitation, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, supported by specialised medical and nursing teams. Construction is expected to take around eight months.

The new hospital is expected to strengthen healthcare services in the wider Larnaca area while making it easier for residents to access specialised care closer to home. The investment will give new life to the existing medical centre and help meet the growing healthcare needs of the local community.
