Public schools across Cyprus are continuing to install air conditioning systems as part of efforts to create more comfortable classroom environments for students and teachers. Authorities say the aim is for schools to be equipped within the coming months, with installation work already progressing in many areas.

A recent upgrade at a primary school in Limassol highlighted how support from private initiatives is helping accelerate the process, with new units installed to fully cover classrooms and school facilities. Education officials said such collaborations are contributing to the improvement of school infrastructure and helping schools better prepare for warmer weather.

At the same time, technical works are continuing to ensure school systems can safely support the wider use of cooling units. Classrooms where air conditioning is already operational are also expected to be used during this summer’s examination period, helping provide more comfortable conditions for students.
