Nicosia and Larnaca drive property market growth in 2024
In 2024, Cyprus’ property market saw moderate growth, led by Nicosia and Larnaca, which drove a 1.5% increase in overall sales filings compared to 2023, according to land registry data.
Nicosia experienced a significant 14% surge, with 3,527 filings for the year, peaking in June. Larnaca followed with a 5% rise, totaling 3,356 filings, with July marking its busiest month.
However, other regions struggled. Paphos saw an 8% decline, while Famagusta dropped by 5%. Limassol also experienced a slight dip of 1%. Despite regional differences, July stood out as the most active month nationwide, while December ended the year on a slight downturn.
