Limassol plans major road upgrades to improve traffic flow

A wide-ranging plan to improve Limassol's road network and help reduce traffic congestion is set to bring together a series of new infrastructure projects and smarter traffic solutions across the city. The proposed investment includes both short-term improvements and larger projects designed to support smoother and safer travel in the years ahead.

The plan features new roads, junction upgrades and modern traffic management systems that can better coordinate traffic lights, improve vehicle flow and make everyday journeys more efficient. Among the proposed projects are new road connections, upgraded roundabouts and additional motorway access points, all aimed at improving mobility across Limassol.

With an estimated value of around €500 million, the programme represents one of the largest road improvement plans for the city. Discussions will also explore additional ideas and future projects that could further enhance transport, reduce congestion and improve daily travel for residents and visitors alike.
