33 kilometers northwest of the city of Limassol is the village of Saittas, in the Limassol district. It is part of the 3.5 km to the west located village of Moniatis. At a typical altitude of 660 meters, Saittas is situated next to the western bank of the Amiantos, a tributary of Kouri. The villages of Trimiklini, Kato Amiantos, and Moniatis share borders with Saittas in the northeast, south, and west, respectively. The settlement has been established since the Middle Ages as it is identified as Sa ita and also Saica on maps, despite the fact that it is not referenced in medieval writings.
