Deryneia to host vibrant Strawberry Festival this month

Strawberries take centre stage this month as the much-loved Strawberry Festival returns to Deryneia, celebrating one of the region’s most famous local products. Known as the island’s leading strawberry-growing area, Deryneia will once again welcome visitors from across Cyprus and beyond for an evening filled with flavour, music and community spirit. The festival will take place on May 29, 2026, from 18:00 until midnight at the Anagennisi Football Stadium.

Visitors can expect a delicious showcase of strawberry-inspired flavours, including fresh strawberries, juices, jams, desserts, pies and other sweet local treats. Beyond the food, the festival will feature a lively marketplace where guests can explore handmade products, discover local specialties and support artisans and community organisations showcasing their work.

Entertainment will also be a major part of the celebration, with live music, traditional dance performances and a festive atmosphere bringing the town to life.
