Explore Cyprus’ heritage with free excursions this summer

A series of free themed excursions is being organised in the Polis Chrysochous–Akamas Peninsula area, aiming to highlight the region’s rich cultural and natural heritage. The initiative is designed to showcase lesser-known destinations while strengthening the area’s appeal as a diverse and sustainable tourism destination.

Scheduled to run every Saturday throughout May and June, the excursions will take participants to five key attractions, including museums and environmental centres that reflect the region’s history, biodiversity and traditional way of life. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore marine ecosystems, local wildlife and archaeological heritage, gaining a deeper understanding of the area’s unique identity through guided tours and interactive experiences.

Departing from Kato Paphos Archaeological Park in the morning and returning in the afternoon, the excursions are open to both residents and visitors at no cost. The initiative aims to support local tourism, promote environmental awareness and encourage the discovery of hidden gems across the district, contributing to a more balanced and enriching visitor experience.
