Larnaca proceeds with €4.3M sustainable transport initiative
The Department of Public Works has awarded a €4.3 million contract for the development of two park-and-ride facilities in the Larnaca district.
The project, funded by the EU as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan, is set to be completed within 14 months. It will include the construction of facilities in Aradippou and Kalo Chorio. In Aradippou, the plan features road upgrades, a roundabout, a 315-square-meter building with a shelter, a bus stop bay, and parking for 67 vehicles. The Kalo Chorio facility will have similar features, but with parking for 195 vehicles.
After construction, the facilities will be maintained for 12 years. The project is part of efforts to enhance sustainable urban mobility in the region.
