Nautical club returns to Famagusta region after decades away

A historic nautical club with deep roots in the Famagusta District is set to return to the region after more than five decades, through a new collaboration based at the Ayia Napa Marina. The move marks an important new chapter for the club, reconnecting it with the area where its story first began while expanding opportunities for water sports and marine activities.

The initiative will introduce a broad programme of nautical experiences, including sailing lessons, open-sea activities, canoeing, kayaking and specialised training opportunities. Designed for both beginners and more experienced participants, the programme aims to encourage greater participation in marine sports while helping develop skills and confidence on the water.

The collaboration is also expected to strengthen the region’s appeal as a destination for nautical activities, bringing together sporting development, leisure experiences and maritime culture.
