Paphos welcomes new school of tourism management

A major step forward for the city was recently marked by the opening of TEPAK's School of Tourism Management, Hospitality, and Entrepreneurship in Paphos by President Nikos Christodoulides.

This expansion is essential for the city's intellectual, economic, and social advancement in addition to supporting the growth of the health and education sectors.

In order to increase the country's competitiveness internationally, President Christodoulides emphasized the government's commitment to improving higher education, which includes adding English-taught courses.

The state-of-the-art facilities at the new school are a testament to TEPAK's commitment to offering top-notch instruction and training in business, tourism, and hospitality. The establishment of a School of Marine Sciences, Technology, and Sustainable Development in partnership with the Municipality of Larnaca is another project the school is thinking about taking on.

Mayor of Paphos Phedon Phedonos emphasized the importance of the school to the expansion of the city and the region's general economic development. At full capacity, the Cyprus University of Technology branch in Paphos is expected to house up to 1,000 students at an estimated cost of roughly €20 million.

Higher education continues to be a major driver of the economy, accounting for 7% of Cyprus' GDP, and this new addition to Paphos has tremendous potential for the area's development and economic progress.
