Paralimni Marina phase A will be completed by year-end
By the end of 2024, phase A of the Paralimni Marina is expected to be finished. The first 300 berths in the marina's first section are anticipated to be occupied by boats before the start of the tourist season.
Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos of Paralimni-Deryneia and other local officials paid a visit to the building site on September 16. The director of PMV Maritime Holdings Ltd., Anthoulis Kountouris, gave Nikolettos an update during the visit. The marina's progress was updated, and it is expected to create an official entrance point into the Republic of Cyprus, thereby promoting maritime tourism and regional development.
Phase A, which is expected to be finished by the end of the year, will include administrative offices, commercial facilities, and port infrastructure, according to the municipality's announcement. Before the start of the new tourist season, the 300 spaces at the marina should see the arrival of their first boats.
Nikolettos noted the marina's major contribution to the area, pointing out that significant development is anticipated due to the official access point and the business opportunity it presents. He additionally highlighted how special the Paralimni Marina is, being the only marina project in Cyprus with a €100 million total budget that is fully financed by a local investor.
