Ingredients
- 360 grams boiled Chickpeas
- 1/3 cup of Tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt
- Olive oil
- 1-2 garlic cloves minced
- 2-3 ice cubes
Cooking instructions
- Begin by cooking the chickpeas until they're tender and can be easily mashed or blended. This process may take up to 2 hours if using dried chickpeas. Remember to soak them overnight before cooking.
- Once cooked, peel the skins off the chickpeas before adding them to a blender. Blend them together with minced garlic until you achieve a smooth, paste-like consistency.
- Add in the remaining ingredients: tahini, lemon juice, salt, olive oil, and ice cubes. Blend the mixture for approximately 4-5 minutes until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the creamy hummus into serving bowls and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and some fresh parsley leaves, if desired.
Note: Adjust the consistency by adding a splash of hot water if the hummus is too thick.
