Ingredients

  • 360 grams boiled Chickpeas
  • 1/3 cup of Tahini
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • 1-2 garlic cloves minced
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Cooking instructions

  1. Begin by cooking the chickpeas until they're tender and can be easily mashed or blended. This process may take up to 2 hours if using dried chickpeas. Remember to soak them overnight before cooking.
  2. Once cooked, peel the skins off the chickpeas before adding them to a blender. Blend them together with minced garlic until you achieve a smooth, paste-like consistency.
  3. Add in the remaining ingredients: tahini, lemon juice, salt, olive oil, and ice cubes. Blend the mixture for approximately 4-5 minutes until everything is well combined.
  4. Transfer the creamy hummus into serving bowls and garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and some fresh parsley leaves, if desired.

Note: Adjust the consistency by adding a splash of hot water if the hummus is too thick.
