During the first quarter of 2025, the price index for construction materials in Cyprus went up by 1.09% compared to the same time last year, according to the Cyprus Statistical Service. In March alone, the index reached 118.81 units, showing a 0.2% increase from February. This index uses the year 2021 as a base value of 100, meaning prices have risen steadily over time.

The biggest price jumps were seen in mineral products like cement and ceramics, which rose by 2.8%, and minerals, which increased by 2.6% for the quarter. In contrast, metal products saw a price drop of 1.02%. For March specifically, minerals had the highest annual increase at 3.9%, followed by mineral products at 3.22%. Smaller rises were recorded in electromechanical goods and materials like wood, insulation, and plastics. However, metal products were again the only category with a decrease, down by 1.09% compared to last March.
